Save Time with Nappy/Diaper Changes

Being a new mum, there are lots of things that are firsts for me. One of them being nappy changing. I can’t believe that I had been putting disposable nappies on my newborn incorrectly. No wonder there were leakages ALL the time, and they just didn’t look like they were on right.

Since we’ve been home, I have now become an expert in changing nappies. And I’ve also learnt a trick or two. I thought I would share with all our readers one of the tips I use to save time when changing Lucas’ nappy.

I have two boxes under the change table that I had full of disposable nappies. I found it was taking a long time when changing baby to make sure all the flaps and bits were unfolded before putting the nappy on. My solution? I unfold the nappies beforehand.

On the left - unfolded nappies. On the right - as they come out of the box.

I don’t unfold all of them (I do like folded ones to put in the nappy bag when we are out and about). But this saves so much time, especially at night when you want to keep nappy change times to a minimum.
